Greek donuts (loukoumades)

Ingredients for 4 persons:

400 g GRECO strained yoghurt (10 % oder 2 %)
2 eggs
1 ½ cups flour (self-rising)
150 g GRECO Bio Feta or Standard Feta
Olive oil for frying
Sugar / liquid chocolate / honey

Preparation:

Finely crumble GRECO Feta and put it in a bowl. Add all other ingredients and mix well with a wire whisk.

Fill a small flying pan (so that not too much oil is required) or a small saucepan with olive oil to a level of approx. 3 cm. Heat olive oil, spoon the liquid batter into the hot oil. One full teaspoon of batter makes one donut. Now turn the donuts in the frying pan or saucepan, until all sides are golden brown in colour.

Take the donuts out of the oil, one after the other, and place them on a large paper towel lined plate or tray to drain off excess oil.

Serve the loukoumades with honey, liquid chocolate or sugar, as you prefer.
